According to the 2012 year data, which is issued based on the income received from the activities of the contractors in foreign countries, in international construction sectoral magazine ENR (Engineering News Record), in “World’s Biggest 250 International Contractors” list, there are 42 Turkish contractor companies in 2014, according to the data from 2013, which was 38 in 2013.

With this number, Turkey has kept its place in the second rank, following Chine which has 62 companies in the list. USA comes third in the list with 31 companies .

Market size of the biggest 250 International Construction Companies has reached 543.97 billion USD with an increase of 6.4%, compared to the year before.

The total income of the 42 Turkish companies that are in the ENR list in 2013, is 20.4 billion USD with an increase of 21.4 % in the total income, Turkish companies’ share is 3.8 in 2013, which was 3.3 before.

In the regional income share of Turkish contractors has decreased in Africa, whereas there is an increase in the share especially in Middle East and in Europe and Asia.

While Spain has the biggest market share, with 14.7% and 13 companies, in 2013 USA’s market share decreased to from 14% to 13% in global terms when compared to 2012. China’s market share, with 62 companies, has increased to 14.5% from 13.1% in worldwide.

“Considering the fact that ENR list is an arbiter as a success ranking in the sector, we are highly proud that since 2008, we’ve came second after China in world ranking. But it is also important to be high in the list in terms of our companies share in the general income. We should analyze the share of Spain, which is 14.7% in the market in general and take example of it.
